Blocking diodes for Industries
Among the products supplied by SECOM for the configuration of circuit systems with low voltage drives, there are also blocking diodes. These components enable the blocking of return currents, particularly within the renewable energy sector.
A blocking diode, in essence, allows the current to flow from the inverter system to the battery but prevents/blocks the current from flowing to the inverter system, thus preventing the battery from running out.
Blocking diodes are widely used in the solar energy field, in conjunction with photovoltaic panels. SECOM has a wide range of blocking diodes for photovoltaic systems, which maximise solar energy plant performance, preventing the return current issue.
A photovoltaic system blocking diode, connected in series to modules, panels, strings and a PV generator, prevents all undesired effects associated with current return, such as power loss or damage to one or more modules.
